Not like they used to be

These liners always seem to be out of stock in the winter time, but I was finally able to snag one. My boots are older and these liners are not like the originals.  They definitely seem cheaper. THe fur is cheap and stringy like. My old pairs used to have snaps on the side to clip into the boots, these new liners do not have those. These liners do not have fabric all the way up the front, so if you are to get snow down the front of your boot, your foot will get wet. But I am happy to have new liners to keep my feet warm again.

New liners = almost perfect

Overall I’m very happy with these new liners. My old boots are warm again! Which is a huge deal in our Alaskan winters where it gets down to -20 or colder some days. They fit great and look awesome. The sizing is spot on. The only issue (and the reason for only four stars) is the fact that these liners don’t have the snap in side straps like the original ones. My boots are around seven or eight years old and have snaps on the upper left and right sides that the original liners snapped into. They were very helpful to both keep the liners in place when removing the boots, and for helping pull the boots on easily. These new liners don’t have them and it’s made getting the boots on and off more of a hassle than it was before. Which is a big annoyance since these are my day-to-day “go to” boots for winter errands and homestead chores. These liners have one snap in the back that I’m assuming is designed for a newer version of the Joan Of Arctic boots. It would be nice if they had both the straps and the back snap. Even with that annoyance I would absolutely buy these again because these new liners made my old boots just as warm and comfy as the day I first bought them. And they’re considerably less expensive than buying a new pair of boots.

The “Right” Boot with the “Wrong” Liner..

To all 1 star/poor rating reviews on the Joan of Arctic boot (revised) boot liner, Sorel was purchased by Columbia, and so is the “new” liner. I’ve had my boots for about 14 yrs now, give or take a year. Originally purchased from Zappos, and I loved the original boot liner! Snaps on sides lined up with the boot, and the color was brown like the boot. Regarding the brand itself, I own multiple pair of boots/wedges/sandals and again, luuuuuuuv the past purchases overall, but the Joan of Arctic boot liner misses the mark, which reduces the overall quality and function of the overall boot experience! I think (for me personally) if the boot is being purchased by a “newbie” WITH the horrible new liner already accompanied, then the wearer experience may not be so bad, but for those of us who owned the boot pre-Columbia (Sorel) company obtained , this liner functions and feels like it belongs to a different boot, period! That is the issue here (I believe). Furs “off” too. Horrible quality by comparison to the original liner. I’ve refrained from purchasing new Joan of Arctic boots present day because of the new poorly designed liner, but Sorel probably isn’t missing any sales because of it. Still a great brand to me though!

Need fur-less liners

I have a pair of Joan of Arctics from a few years ago. I used to love them and wear them all the time - they're still in great condition! But I need new liners. Unfortunately, I'm not sure the fur suits my style anymore and I would love to be able to use them again but with replacement liners that don't have fur. I'm hoping Sorel can create new liners for the ladies who aren't fond of fur!

No replacement liners available

Just wish I could order a replacement liner for my worn down boots. Was told you stock in Aug-Sept and when they are gone they are gone. Since this is Feb, looks like I, unfortunately, buy another pair of boots.

Awesome Boots, but a few details overlooked

This is my 2nd pair of Joan of Arctic’s. The footbed is cushy, they look great, keep my feet warm, & are supportive of my ankles. The 2 issues I have are (1) Sorel NEVER has available liners to replace the inside (once it goes- mine wore out over the 2nd yr.- they’re worthless) & they are a little tricky to get on unless you loosen them up. If I don’t, I get a wicked cramp/ “Charley horse” in my calf &/ or foot. But my biggest issue is the lack of inventory of the matching liners. A few years ago, you could interchange faux fur/ fleece topped/ plain; now I can’t even find a matching liner for brand new boots I purchased a few weeks ago. Worn liners= Having to buy new boots; wearing my older boots & worn liners, my feet freeze in the fall- forget about wearing them in the winter. It would be nice to have options again; Sorel, PLEASE start making diff options for Joan of Arctic boot liners again; preferably @ a fair price. With regular wear & maintenance, the liners last a year- tops. Love the boots, but if you can’t replace the liners, they are a waste of money. Felt liners only last so long; but I am thinking they know that & that’s why they discontinued so many liners. $200+? They should COME w/ a spare set of liners!!!

Perfect replacement

If you are looking to change the inside sock and not the book. This is a perfect option

Works great

Great replacement liners. Only 4 stars due the liners not have the leather anchors, and the sorel not offering those liners.
