I went to DSW to buy a pair of Doc Martens and found myself incredibly disappointed by the fit, quality, and comfort of them. I saw these boots nearby and tried them on. I liked the way they looked, they weren't uncomfortable, and the quality appeared better. I put these on in the car and went to an event where I spent an entire 6 hours standing and walking. Not only had my feet not hurt at all that evening but didn't even hurt after taking the boots off. Thoroughly impressed. Impressed enough to leave this obnoxiously lengthy review. True to size.

I read the reviews and was hoping I would have a different experience. However, they were not comfortable. The top pressed uncomfortably around my ankle and there was also uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot. Not sure if this would go away with wear, but due to the price I didn't want to keep them to find out. I also found the quality of the leather to be disappointing. I have owned other Sorel boots and was expecting the same quality.
