Snug, But Stick with the Same Size as Your Boot!
I really struggled on what size liner to order, especially after reading previous reviews. My boots are 35 yrs old, give or take (with the maple leaf logo), from my college days. Here in Colorado/Denver, it is SO dry, that even if you meticulously care for equipment, whether it's a bathing suit, a car, a lawnmower, whatever, things just eventually dry out, crack and break.
That being said, I decided to stick with size 8 snow cuff liners, with my 1980s size 8 boots. I wore the liners around the house, just walking in them in bare feet (they were snug and comfy, not scratchy at all), for about 90 minutes before putting them in my boots. I kept them on my feet, sat down, unlaced the boots fully to open up the lower ankle and instep, and shoved them in. I've had a harder time getting alpine ski boots on and off. I'm VERY happy, as we received 10-12 inches of snow on 2/20 here on the west side of Denver, and my last trip out in the yard had my Sorels completely buried, with snow up to my calves! Working around my house/yard is the main activity for my boots, and I'm happy to have functional liners again. The old ones looked like Swiss cheese when I threw them away.
My only complaint is the color of the liners. Why the gray? With a forest-green interior? The previous versions with the fuzzy cuff at the top of the boot, with that same cream/white color throughout looked much better. Now we have cream, gray, green and the exterior tan leather....there's a lot going on there. Whatever: the fit is great!

Old boots, new inserts!
After reading a lot of comments, I went with the original boot size. They were a bit snug, but after wearing them for a day, they were great. Very happy!

New liners are much warmer and tighter and take a wearing to break in.
My boots were about 30 years old. ( They had the maple leaf on them). Reading previous reviews threw me off some as they recommended going up a 1/2 size to accommodate size changes. I couldn’t see how an 8 1/2 size liner was going to fit into my size 8 boots so I ordered 8’s. When they first arrived, they seemed pretty tight BUT that was because the old liners were so smashed down and wore out!!! The new liners have already formed around my foot and are so much warmer than the old ones. There was also some concern about the height of the liners in the old boots. Nah! They are fantastic. For $50 I have new boots again. Glad I did it.

Quality is inconsistent
Not what they used to be. Quality felt fine, but sizing was snug, even though I ordered the exact replacements needed for the boot. Sizing between feet also felt inconsistent. One foot was visibly narrower than the other. I’m hoping this sorts itself out as I break them in, but I was disappointed.

Good Purchase!!!!
They fit the older “Made in Canada” Caribou size 6 boots perfectly!!! Well Made, Comfortable, Warm, Not too Bulky, Nor too High over the top of the boot, Nor too Short in either Length or Height!!!

Glad I read comments
My size 8 caribou boots are 20+ yrs old. I read the other comments and sized up 1/2 size to 8.5. Liners fit perfectly! Also bought new laces so I’m hoping they are like new again.

Poor fit/ Average quality
I have the original Caribou probably 30 years old. After reading reviews I ordered an 8.5 and it was way too big both in length and height. I returned it and got an 8. I could get it in my boot but The poor quality bulky stitching and the strip of material on the top seam make it too wide and bulky for my boot. My toes were completely squished.I replaced the liners once before when they were still made in Canada and they were great. But the new liners have very bulky, poor quality stitching and they were also too tall. Just an all-around poor fit and quality compared to the product that was made in Canada. See pictures
